But
for those among you who like something a little more active,
there are plenty of opportunities for spending your time in
other ways.
You will find a whole series of attractive offers
at the
Villasimius tourist port.
Rent a boat and spend the whole day
at sea, visiting the inviting secluded bays. Or, if you prefer,
take sailing lessons and begin to master this art which in
Sardinia you can try out every day thanks to the constant breezes
and
winds.
Or again, you might prefer scuba diving, enabling
you to explore the sea depths, peering into the haunts of squid
and large groupers. Take our word for it: everything the
sea has
on offer is better and can be done better at Villasimius.
The sunsets over Villasimius but even in the evening it continues
to offer a rare spectacle: as it dips beneath the coastline,
it still lights up the sky, which from cobalt blue becomes deep
red - a magic atmosphere, and the sea plays its part too.
The
last of the sailing boats return to port, it's getting late
- time to tie up for the night.
Eating in Sardinia is always a joy and a long day by the sea
has sharpened our appetite.
Our visitor will find a whole series
of regional dishes on offer, well able to
satisfy the most demanding gourmet.
A great chance to discover
the traditional
flavours
of Sardinian cuisine, to be savoured in
one of the small restaurants in town or along the coast,
where
the scent of the sea is even
more intense.
We have enjoyed a full day of sun and sea and what better way
to end it than by a taste of local hospitality and entertainment.
There is a whole series of offers both in town and along
the coast: pubs, live music, discos, alternative dives.
The
night is young and is well worth living - if you're not sleepy
you
can keep going until morning without even noticing it.
